For some advance reservations for my recent trip to Thailand and Cambodia I decided to try to use one of the Bangkok-based travel agents that has an Internet presence.  I was sorely disappointed: Khiri Travel - After my initial inquiry, this agent seemed enthusiastic and wrote back 'we look forward to your booking'. However, I sent a detailed itinerary and received no more than a cursory reply a few days before my intended departure. Sunny Sunshine - This agent frequently posts hotel rates to this newsgroup.  After my initial inquiry they requested a detailed itinerary. After I sent it, they replied that they were unable to help me as all their Thailand Travel Agents were at a conference in Germany.
